Louis, Mo.) won the 1000 free in a time of 10:11.18. The women’s team won eight of 11 events before exhibitioning events. The Cavaliers also won both relays, as Hirniak, Ryan Hurley (Potomac, Md.), Eric Olesen (Kingwood, Texas), and Hutton won the 200 medley relay in 1:33.45 and the team of Lee Robertson (Waynesboro, Va.), Bjorn Falk (Wilton, N.H.), Alex Germain (Watertown, Conn.) and Vanja Rogulj (Zagreb, Croatia) won the 200 free relay in an exhibition time of 1:25.59. John Azar (El Paso, Texas) also had an exhibition win, taking the 200 breaststroke in 2:05.51. In the 500 free, Darren Ankosko (East Brunswick, N.J.) won with a time of 4:33.91. Daniel Johnson (Concord, N.C.) won the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:51.90. Stefan Hirniak (Highland Park, N.J.) swam 46.47 to win the 100 free. Dan McMahon (Atlanta, Ga.) won the 200 butterfly in a time of 1:51.45. Rich Hutton (Leicestershire, U.K.) won the 50 free in 21.25, while Tony Colella (Austin, Texas) won the 200 I.M. John Millen (Lilburn, Ga.) took top spot in the 200 free with a winning time of 1:42.14. In the 1000 free, Garrett Wren (Richmond, Va.) posted his first collegiate win with a season-best time of 9:21.86. The team got a strong start to the meet as Alex D’Ambrosio (Wayland, Mass.) recorded his first collegiate victory in the one-meter diving event with a season best score of 287.03. The Cavalier men won the first nine events, before exhibitioning events. The men’s team improves to 5-2 on the season (4-0 ACC), while the women improve to 4-2 (4-0). The Cavalier men won 126-100, while the Cavalier women won 126.5-110.5.
